在浩瀚无垠的宇宙中，有不计其数的天体正在运转或消亡，而这其中有一颗小蓝球，静静地绕着她的恒星公转。它似乎是被宇宙选中的幸运之星——有着合适的温度，足够的氧气和液态的水，是目前唯一一个适合生物生存的星球——她就是地球。从一个小小的水藻开始，生物开始在地球的陆地和海洋中出现，并逐渐进化成各式各样的生物，例如爬行动物、鸟类、哺乳动物等等。经过几万年的进化，人类出现了，为这张色彩缤纷的画添加了最绚丽的一笔。

    随着时间的推移，人类开始超越自我。我们制造了电灯，汽车，机器人......但是，科学技术和经济都飞速发展的今天，也给环境和生态系统带来了污染和混乱。看看我们所居住的北京城吧。虽然我们拥有先进的经济和科技，环境问题却越来越严重。众所周知，北京又被称为“首堵”或“霾都”。由于雾霾的频繁光临，人们不得不购买口罩和空气进化器。当PM 2.5指数爆表的时候，工厂停工，学校停课，人们紧闭门窗，甚至开着空气净化器戴着口罩把自己锁在家里。可我们又怎能真正的躲过雾霾呢？

    我认为，汽车尾气是雾霾形成的主要原因之一。随着人口大量迁移到北京，汽车也越来越多，大街上越来越堵，有时候，开车还没有骑车快！所以，为什么我们不鼓励大家骑自行车呢？这样既能减少尾气的排放，又能使交通变得更加顺畅，还可以锻炼身体。为了吸引更多的人参加这一活动，政府应该为坚持骑自行车出行或者乘坐公共交通工具的民众发放免费公园票、博物馆票等。这样做既鼓励大家绿色出行又能丰富人们的文化生活。民众在努力的同时，政府也应该召集一些科学家来研究雾霾，从而制出一些可以降解雾霾又对环境无害的喷雾剂。我相信，只要政府和人民一起努力，不久之后蓝天会常常光顾北京。

    雾霾只是北京众多环境问题之一。水污染、光污染、声污染也非常严重。地球，是生命之源，没有了它，就不会有我们。地球像我们的妈妈一样，哺育着我们。我们是地球的孩子，尽我们的努力保护她是我们的职责。为了让地球妈妈美丽永驻，让我们携起手来，一起倡导绿色生活！！

I love Earth

  In the cold and empty space, there are countless stars and planets, appearing and vanishing. In our solar system, eight planets slowly orbit around the glistening sun. Among them, there is a small blue ball, which is the only planet that is suitable for supporting living creatures, for it has the right temperature, right amount of oxygen and liquid water. That is our Earth. From a tiny ordinary algae, a variety of creatures started to appear on both land and sea. Slowly, they started to evolve into all kinds of plants and animals, such as trees, reptiles, birds, mammals. Finally, through millions of years of evolution, human beings appeared, adding the most magnificent colors to the unfinished painting of this planet.

  As time went on, humans started to go beyond themselves. We created our first electric light bulb, first car and first robot. As we developed our technology and economy, we also brought pollution and disorder to the environment and the ecosystem. Beijing, is a typical case. Although the development of economy and technology is very advanced, the environmental problem is immense because Beijing is known as “capital of haze and jammed city”. The haze has been one of the most significant environmental problems these days. People are forced to buy anti-smog masks and air purifier to defend themselves from the haze. When the haze is too deadly, students are forced to return home and workers are ordered to stop working immediately. People with face masks lock themselves in their rooms, hoping to ‘escape’ from the haze. How?

  I believe that the consumption of petrol is one of the main causes of the haze. People from all over the country are immigrating to Beijing. The number of cars is increasing rapidly and traffic condition has been getting worse. Sometimes, the speed of cars has been reduced to the speed of bikes. So, instead of driving cars, why don’t we try to ride bikes? Not only can the action reduce emission and traffic congestion, but also improve our physic health. I suggest there should be a government program, which gives free museum tickets or amusement park tickets to those who ride bikes everyday. When the citizens are doing their best, the government should request the scientists to figure out an Eco-friendly invention that can dissolve haze. In the future, blue sky will be commonly seen if we all cooperate together.

  The haze is just one of the environmental problems facing Beijing. Water pollution and sound pollution are serious, too. The Earth is the origin of life. Like our mothers, the Earth breeds and protects humankind. It is our job to cherish her, using our own power. We are the Earth’s children and we will make Earth young and beautiful again!
